Last weekend we took a girls’ trip to L.A. to celebrate one of my best friends’ 30th birthday. I suppose we all had to send off our 20’s in style. Lindsay chose Beverly Hills with ten of our closest friends. It was a whirlwind of a trip in just a little over 48 hours. I don’t think there was ever a dull moment. We spent the days brunching, shopping, and at the pool. The nights were filled with amazing meals and hours of dancing. It took me the whole week to catch up on sleep. I’m out of practice when it comes to staying up late. It was well worth it. We made memories that will take us into our 40’s!
This also means I had to leave Charlotte behind for the first time at 5-months-old. I thought long and hard about it and wasn’t totally sure I was ready to spend my first night away from her. John convinced me he would enjoy a weekend of daddy time and I knew my girlfriends would be there to help me through my separation anxiety. I think it was a complete success for all of us involved. Two days felt more like seven but it was a start in balancing this new life of motherhood. Thanks to my sisses for an amazing weekend and happy 30th, Lindsay!
Great pictures – beautiful young women and when you are here i want you to identify each one. There isn’t anything like wonderful friends and I probably shouldn’t say this but I don’t think Charlotte missed you – Ha!!! Love you so much, barbara
