A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Lehi

If Shakespeare had grown up in Lehi, A Midsummer Night’s Dream would be about the wafting scent of cows, the long, dry-hot days, and Walmart blowup pools.  It all seems so perfect that we want to soak in every moment, and hardly ever leave Mellor Ranch.

We spend most days coming up with projects we can do in the backyard with Charlotte and our dog Prissy.  Recently we installed a new swing-set that Charlotte loves.  GrandmaB (John’s mom) spent an afternoon with us and Charlotte showed her how she could swing and go down the slide all by herself.  She’s so independent.  We’ve also started a new project making lemonade and, one day, we spent the whole afternoon in a blowup pool – keepin’ it classy in Lehi.

These are the times when we forget how darn cold and miserable it can be in the winter.  So, we’re going to try to capture our spirit of summer, and in mid-January we’ll look back and say “Utah really is fantastic”.
