Mellor Ranch is moving to Park City and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! We love Park City and have been keeping our eyes open for property there for quite a while. We expected it to take a couple of years, so this is probably a year ahead of when we thought we would actually buy something. But, we found some land we love in an area called Old Ranch Road. It’s a very similar layout to our current property, just a little bigger, and in an area that won’t see much, if any, future development because it’s either wetlands or nature preserve. Charlotte will be able to explore and create adventures in the great outdoors for days on end – we will probably be right along her side. John still gets to grow and cut his hay while we live in the country and have all the amazing benefits Park City has to offer – seems like the perfect fit!

There is already a house, barn, and riding arena on the property. The house is quite old so we’re planning to start from scratch and build what we hope will be our “forever” house. Neither of us has built a house before and are pretty overwhelmed to say the least. We’ve got our first meetings with the architect we’ve selected this coming week. From what we’re told, even if we start to build in the next two months, we won’t actually be able to move in until late next summer. Ugh! Lots going on for the Mellors right now and the next 18 months are going to be incredibly busy, but we’re excited for the challenge.
