Charlotte is really outgrowing the term ‘baby’ at quite a rapid pace. It seems like she is doing something new everyday. I’m afraid to look away because she’s usually getting into something and because she will be a toddler before I know it. Ugh! The ongoing battle. I barely remember the days when she would just lie still. I had to document some of our day to day activities at 7 1/2-months-old.

For instance, Charlotte’s crawl speed is one to be challenged. I put her as far as I possibly can from Prissy’s dog food and within 30 seconds, she has a piece of dog food in her mouth. Yes, that has happened several times and I won’t even mention how much she likes Prissy’s half chewed rawhide bones. We make ourselves feel better by saying we’re just keeping her immune system on its toes.

She also learned to pull herself up to a stand and has attempted to take steps which then leads to a tumble. Apparently, she doesn’t even mind the tumbles now. I think we lowered her crib just days before a full somersault onto the carpet. Honestly, she never holds still. She continues to love the sound of her own voice and would wake the neighbors if we had any. Just waiting for words to help her express herself. As far as Charlotte’s eating habits, she’s definitely into solids and might be over the ba-ba any day now. She’s eating a variety of grain cereal, fruits, and vegetables. One day, we thought it would be fun to give her an avocado and see what would happen. Prissy certainly had a decent amount of guacamole that night. Oh and one more little tidbit that needs to go in the books, she’s already teasing Prissy. (Oh Prissy, thank you for being so patient but you have a long road ahead of you.) Charlotte steals the bone away from Prissy and then teases her with it while laughing hysterically. Really, isn’t this a little young?

So anyway, this is basically a mom/Charlotte update. The days are going by so fast and I don’t want to forget anything. Below are a few pictures of lately.
